Fresh off the success of Taskmaster New Zealand Season 2, champion Laura Daniel is at the Fringe with her fiancée and comedy partner Joseph Moore as the incredible: Two Hearts.
From the astonishingly catchy “Tummy Rosé”, to the political message of “The Great Pacific Garbage Patch”, Two Hearts perform comedy songs of the highest standard. Considering there were several songs performed in the hour, each one felt fresh and unique and Laura Daniel perfectly encapsulates the self-centred persona of a world wide pop star- changing into ridiculous costumes and launching herself into over-the-top choreography with her 2 backing dancers who are a welcome presence throughout.
Daniel and Moore have great on-stage chemistry and compliment each other really well. Some highlights of the night include a song where Moore tells Daniel she’s not as hot as she used to be. This leads her to slap him, stop the song and bellow “WHATTT?!” which eventually leads to a really satisfying pay off at the end of the show, with Joseph Moore dressing up as a witch to take revenge… it’ll makes sense when you see it.
Both have their own solo moments which show off just how talented they both are in terms of musical talent and comedic timing.
Two Hearts is a must-see at this years Fringe Festival, all of the songs are so cleverly crafted and you’ll be guaranteed to want more by the end of the performance.
