Go glamping – lounge in a luxury lodge, take time out in a comfortable tent, cosy up in a caravan, or bring your own tourer.
Love2Stay’s luxury touring caravan and glamping village sits about three miles out of Shrewsbury in 22 acres of grass and woodland.

You can choose to stay in one of a few types of comfortable, spacious accommodation, including:
- Safari lodges
- Wren’s nest lodges
- Black barns
- Time out tents
- Laurel lodges
The vision behind this green and clean resort is that you can take an outdoor holiday that allows you to connect with nature and super-fast WiFi at the same time…music to most people’s ears.

Our dog-friendly Laurel lodge, similar to a static caravan, was spacious, super-comfortable and serene. One of 11 lodges sitting in a circle around a small communal sauna (sadly out of service when we stayed), it came with all the trimmings:
- A master bedroom with king-size bed
- Second bedroom with twin beds
- Two bathrooms
- Open-plan living space with soft sofasand large flat screen TV
- Fully equipped kitchen

The outdoor space beside the lodge features:
- Private hot tub, ready and waiting at the ideal temperature for your arrival
- A large hammock filled with cushions
- Firepit

Also on site are:
- A natural bio top swimming pool for cold water swimming enthusiasts. Next to the pool are hot tubs for you to warm up afterwards. One of us (not me or Hugo) tried this out
- Bar and restaurant – serving top notch breakfasts including full English and vegetarian options, eggs benedict, royale and florentine plus pancakes. In the afternoon until 5.30pm you can get pizzas, nachos and cocktails – confirmed as delightful sitting out in the sunshine next to the bio-pool
- A sandy ‘beach’ with hot springs paddling pool for families with children
- Spa centre
- Gym
- Large lake with friendly carp and the chance to try kayaking and paddleboarding
- Archery
- Bee garden
- Assault course
- Movie time in the cinema tent
- Outdoor pizza oven hire
- Large children’s play area

For dogs, there is:
- A grassy exercise area for off-lead play – Hugp had fun meeting other dogs here, stealing and swapping balls
- A dog agility course – though he was a bit (a lot) unsure of what he was supposed to do, Hugo gave this a go Can’t say he’ll be off to Crufts anytime soon, though…

Next to the site is Salop Leisure, the company that owns Love2Stay. Here, you’ll find caravans and campervans for sale, plus a bright coffee house and garden centre.

Just a threemile car or bus ride away, Shrewsbury town nestles in the shelter of the Shropshire Hills. Take a dog-walk around its pretty 29-acre park alongside the river Severn. Explore the Tudor centre of town with its half-timbered houses. The market hall is also worth a visit, home to a buzzing food scene with an eclectic range of bars, cafés and restaurants. Bu it doesn’t allow dogs so it was elsewhere for us to lunch.
We enjoyed our laid-back holiday at Love2Stay Shrewsbury. You can find out more about what’s on offer and costs at the Love2Stay website
