Columbia Ventrailia 3 Low Outdry Women’s: review

Because our dog walks often take us into rough, uneven terrain, I need a shoe that’s got great grip, without being too clumpy (if that’s not too unscientific a term!). I also want something that will let my feet breathe in warmer weather….but that’s waterproof too.

Step in the Columbia Ventrailia 3 Low Outdry to tick all those boxes.

I’ve been wearing these for a few months now, testing them out in all weathers and on all sorts of surfaces – mountains, beaches, tracks and craggy hillsides – and they’ve weathered everything and have kept my feet comfy throughout.

The ‘OutDry’ Waterproof layer of the shoe is made up of one piece which is bonded to the outer fabric meaning water can’t get in (or stay in) so there’s been no sogginess.

The ‘Omni-Grip’ traction rubber outsole has meant no slips or twisted ankles.

They come in a range of colours, and they’re super durable too. Everything you want in a hard-working shoe that doesn’t feel like it’s wearing you.

Availble from and various outdoor wear online stockists.
